Farmland Assessment Meeting

The St. Clair County Farm Bureau is hosting a farmland assessment meeting to discuss increasing property assessments. Landowners and farmers are encouraged to attend.

At this event, Brenda Matherly, Director of Local Government with Illinois Farm Bureau, will explain how farmland assessments are calculated and the long-term impact those calculations have on the taxable value of farmland.

St. Clair and Monroe County Farm Bureau host quarterly update meetings to help your family farm have the most success this season and bring value to your membership.

On June 9, COUNTRY Financial will be updating members on how to update their farms’ personal property and outbuildings insurance. Join us to learn more from your COUNTRY Financial agency.

2025 Barnyard Open

2025 Barnyard Open

Join us on March 1, 2025 for the annual Barnyard Open! Put around the nine hole golf course of farms and agribusinesses around the O'Fallon/Lebanon area of St. Clair County.
Packet pickup goes from noon - 1:00 PM with golf starting imminently after. After golf is over, the groups will reunite at the Belleville/Moose Lodge at 5:30 PM for a dinner and closure of raffle items.
All funds from this event fund the St. Clair County Farm Bureau Foundation. The foundation funds the Ag in the Classroom program, scholarships for students interested in agriculture, and local FFA chapters in St. Clair County.
In the past year, St. Clair County:
- Reached 1,000+ students and 45+ teachers have been reached since August 2024
- Awarded $9,000 of scholarships to college students in Spring 2024
- Donated over $4,000 to local FFA Chapters
